6 week program · 2 sessions/week

Week by week curriculum.

Take one real app from source code to a public deployment in 12 practical, live sessions led by a working DevOps Engineer.

From local lab to live deployment.

Week 1 DevOps & Local Lab

Session 1

What DevOps actually does

Meet the Course App, trace its path from source code to service, and sketch the architecture you'll build.

  • DevOps
  • Course App
  • Portfolio

Session 2

Your Ubuntu lab & first app run

Run the app by hand on Ubuntu. Use shell, SSH, ports, environment variables, health checks and logs before adding automation.

  • Ubuntu
  • SSH
  • Logs
Week 2 Docker & Compose

Session 3

Docker: package the app

Write the Dockerfile, build and tag the image, then run the app as a repeatable container.

  • Docker
  • Dockerfile
  • Images

Session 4

Docker Compose with a database

Connect the app and PostgreSQL with Compose, then add networking and persistent storage.

  • Docker Compose
  • PostgreSQL
  • Volumes
Week 3 CI, Quality & Security

Session 5

GitHub Actions: test & build

Create a GitHub Actions workflow that tests and builds on every push. Read the logs and fix a failed build.

  • GitHub Actions
  • CI
  • Pipelines

Session 6

Scan & secure: SonarQube Cloud + Trivy

Add SonarQube Cloud and Trivy gates. Trigger a real finding, read the report and fix the build.

  • SonarQube Cloud
  • Trivy
  • DevSecOps
Week 4 Real Infrastructure

Session 7

Terraform: real infrastructure as code

Provision a server, firewall and SSH key with Terraform on course-provided cloud, no card needed. Review, destroy and rebuild it from code.

  • Terraform
  • plan / apply
  • State

Session 8

First public deployment

Deploy the scanned image with Docker Compose, add HTTPS and open the live app from your phone.

  • Docker Compose
  • GHCR
  • HTTPS
Week 5 CI/CD & Operations

Session 9

CI/CD to your cloud server

Deploy from GitHub Actions only after tests, scans and a merge to main. Diagnose a failed release from the logs.

  • GitHub Actions
  • SSH Deploy
  • Secrets

Session 10

Logs, incidents & reliability basics

Find and fix three injected failures with logs, curl and service checks. Back up PostgreSQL with pg_dump.

  • docker logs
  • journalctl
  • pg_dump
Week 6 Portfolio & Demo

Session 11

Portfolio artifact workshop

Turn the project into evidence: a technical README, architecture diagram, CI/CD explanation and troubleshooting notes.

  • README
  • Diagram
  • Portfolio

Session 12

Final demo & next steps

Demo the app end to end, rebuild it from your repo, and leave with a roadmap toward Kubernetes.

  • Live demo
  • CV
  • Kubernetes roadmap

completion perks

Finish the program, leave ready to apply.

Complete all 12 sessions and we turn your project into job applications: CV, motivation letter and GitHub profile — included in the program, no extra cost.

01

CV refinement

We rework your CV around the pipeline, infrastructure and live deployment you built — phrased the way DevOps hiring managers actually read it.

02

Motivation letter

A structured review of your motivation letter for junior DevOps, cloud and SRE applications — what to claim, what to prove, what to cut.

03

GitHub portfolio review

A pass over your repo and README so recruiters see a real project: clean structure, architecture diagram and a clear CI/CD story.
